Isn’t this the talk lately? Insanity vs P90X, which one is better?
Losing weight on your own is hard work. Depending on your knowledge of physical fitness, it may even seem impossible. Both Insanity Workouts and P90X workouts assist you on your path to getting in shape.

Insanity Vs P90X
And while both workout programs are intense, will build muscle and dramatically cut down on your fat, there are both minor and major differences between the two.
When evaluating Insanity Vs P90x we can look at the Length and type of training
- The most noticeable different between Insanity Workout vs P90X Workout is that Insanity takes 60 days to complete, while the P90X program takes 90. For those of us with a shorter timeline, Insanity will be our choice.
- Insanity only takes 60 days because it focuses primarily on cardiovascular training, whereas P90X balances cardiovascular and strength training. For example, the second week of insanity includes six days of cardiovascular training.
- Strength training is mixed in two days. The second week of P90X consists of three days of strength training and three days of cardiovascular training for the P90x classic schedule. The P90x lean schedule consists of two days of strength training and four days of cardiovascular training.
- Because Insanity focuses mostly on cardiovascular, you will not see the same muscle results as you would from using P90X. You will be more lean, if you will. However, because the P90X goes an extra 30 days, you will see the same lean and fit results from cardiovascular as you do from Insanity.
Time To Complete Program: Insanity Workout The Winner

- Both Insanity and P90X are intense. You’re going to feel beat down after completing a workout from either program.
- The Insanity workout consists of a recovery day each Thursday, while P90X requires you to complete six intense workouts in a row before taking a recovery day.
- While the Insanity workout adds an extra day of recovery, you’re going to need it. Because the workout revolves around cardiovascular, it’s vigorous and harsh. The Maximum Interval Training is truly insane and that is why this program works.
